Haven Early Reading Options LLC is a Literacy Center providing 1:1 literacy intervention and tutoring services to children from kindergarten through fifth grade.*

We provide structured literacy instruction based on the Orton-Gillingham approach to increase student skills and confidence.

* Preschool students and older students accepted on a case by case basis.

  • 50 minute Orton-Gillingham based sessions. Phonemic awareness, phonics concepts, decoding, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, as well as writing at the sentence/paragraph levels. (2 sessions per week minimum recommended.)

  • Shorter sessions to help young learners build and develop oral language skills, phonological awareness, and understanding of concepts about print.

  • Story Times -for young learners. Focusing on oral language, vocabulary building, and comprehension

    Morphology lessons -for older students concentrating on affixes, Latin, and Greek bases.
